The Aboriginal Skills Group (formerly VanAsep Training Society) has now completed the “Supply Chain Careers Program” 2008-20102.

The Aboriginal Skills Group in partnership with ITA Aboriginal program and Tsawwassen Gateway Skills Centre will launch a new HEO certification program from 2012-2015 to be located at the Tsawwassen First Nation, Delta, British Columbia. Course schedules will be determined by market demand. All new applicants will also complete an Essential Skills 3G assessment.

Currently, HEO Certification is a three part process in British Columbia:

1. BC Roadbuilders Foundations Program (3 weeks)
2. ITA HEO Technical Training on Machines (4 weeks)
3. Apprenticeship on Machines (200–400 hrs, 4–8 weeks)

To be eligible for ITA HEO technical training you must complete the foundations course and be registered as an HEO apprentice with the Industry Training Authority of British Columbia.
